We are proud to share the highlights from “From Chaos to Digital Governance“, a groundbreaking conference held on Wednesday at Microsoft Reactor Tel Aviv. The event brought together over 100 leaders from Israel’s legal, technological, and regulatory communities for a day of thought-provoking discussions and invaluable insights.
The conference opened with welcoming remarks from Chen Bartash-Levanon (Principal Corporate Counsel for Israel at Microsoft Israel), followed by an inspiring presentation from Alon Haimovich (CEO of Microsoft Israel) on resilience and growth in the face of digital transformation.
Dan Or-Hof, Our owner, delivered the keynote address, unpacking the challenges Israeli companies face as they navigate global digital governance and regulatory frameworks.
One of the day’s key moments was a fireside chat between J. Trevor Hughes, President and CEO of the IAPP, and Dan Or-Hof, exploring the evolving state of digital governance in Europe and the United States.
The conference concluded with a dynamic expert panel moderated by Hila Hubsch (Head of Corporate, External and Legal Affairs at Microsoft Israel), and featuring esteemed speakers:
- Merav Davidson, VP, Industry AI at Microsoft R&D Center
- Talya Gazit, Partner – CEO at PwC Next
- Shay Basson, CEO at MalamTeam
- Amit Ashkenazi, Law and Technology Expert (Cybersecurity, Data Protection, AI)
Together, they shared practical insights on implementing governance strategies in organizations of all sizes.
Our key takeaways from the talks:
💡 Complexity: Buckle up. We’re facing a turbulent era. It’s not going to be easier with hundreds of AI, privacy, cyber and digital services’ new laws and regulations coming at us this year.
💡 This is a wake-up call: Organizations must acknowledge the urgent need to restructure governance and compliance frameworks.
💡 Upskill: Professionals in our field must educate themselves with additional disciplines to create common language and synergy.
💡 Collaborative Approach: Establishing an organizational board/committee to bring all stakeholders together is crucial for finding solutions and improving risk management.
💡 It’s Time for a Change: You will break it if you fake it. A siloed approach to compliance and governance is bound to fail.
💡 Use Technology: Technology is not only the bearer of compliance, it is also the solution. Use AI and compliance platforms to help you manage multitude of regulatory requirements in an efficient manner.
We extend our deepest thanks to all who attended and contributed to the success of the event. Special appreciation to our partners at Microsoft, Hila Hubsch and Chen Bartash-Levanon, as well as to Trevor Hughes for joining us for a truly meaningful discussion.
